Born in Senegal from Lebanese parents, Karim Bourgi moved to France at the age of 16 to attend Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. After graduating, he began his career at La Cigale in Beirut, then Ladurée Paris Champs Elysées, and Fauchon Café in Dubai. Since 2010, Chef Karim Bourgi has been the Corporate Pastry Chef for the Al Mana Group. He managed the opening of La Maison du Chocolat Paris boutiques in the Middle East from 2013 through 2019. In 2014, he earned third-best pastry chef at the Pâtissiers dans le Monde and, in 2019, participated in the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie in Lyon, France. He recently opened the Hermès Paris Café in the new Fashion Avenue Dubai Mall and Kuwait Mall of the Avenues. Chef Bourgi is a lover of pâtisserie and a member of Les Toques Blanches du Monde. Four years ago, he founded KB Gourmandises, a boutique food and beverage company in the Middle East.
